Born into a life of privilege and secrets, Nora Blakely has everything any nineteen-year-old girl could desire. She’s an accomplished pianist, a Texas beauty queen, and on her way to Princeton after high school. She’s perfect. Or is she?
Leaving behind her million-dollar mansion and Jimmy Choos, she changes the course of her life, becoming a girl hell-bent on pushing the limits with alcohol, drugs, and meaningless sex.
Then through a chance encounter, she meets her soulmate. But he doesn’t want her.
When it comes to girls, twenty-five-year-old Leo Tate has one rule: never fall in love. His gym and his brother are all he cares about…until he meets Nora. He resists the pull of their attraction, hung up on their six year age difference.
As they struggle to stay away from each other, secrets will be revealed, tempers will flare, and hearts will be broken.
Welcome to Briarcrest Academy…where sometimes, the best things in life are Very Bad Things.
*Very Bad Things is a complete standalone novel without a cliffhanger.
Before actually reading this book I had heard mentions of Leo Tate and what a hottie he is. For some reason I just kept putting it off and putting it off. Let me just say that I was an idiot for not reading this book immediately! This book had me entranced from page one and I could not put it down!
The storyline was pretty neat and original. It had me on edge wondering what Nora was going to do next and if Leo would ever give in to his desires. It had just enough steaminess and drama to keep me intrigued. Like, seriously…this book should become a freakin’ movie!!!
The characters were very well-developed. Nora has issues but when you take her past and her family into consideration you understand and sympathize with her. She’s desperately looking for an outlet and she just needs someone to care about her.
Leo is….wow! He is a character that is going to stick with me for a long time! He’s dark and cold but he can’t help his draw to Nora. He tries to resist, even when she makes it pretty difficult at times. Together these two characters are explosive. They have chemistry unlike anything I have ever seen. The side characters are developed pretty well as well. I’m in love with Sebastian and I hope that he gets his own book one day.
Everything about this book is amazing. Everything read smoothly and I kept wanting more even after it ended. I’m definitely looking forward to VERY WICKED BEGINNINGS & VERY WICKED THINGS!!!!
