"God help you because now you're fucking mine."
Synopsis: Who knew things could get even darker and dirtier in New Orleans? New York Times bestselling author Meghan March introduces the Savage Prince of the city, the man you never want to meet.
* * *I do what I want and who I want. I don’t follow anyone’s rules—even my own.I knew I shouldn’t touch her, but it didn’t stop me. Didn’t stop me the second time either. Only made me want a third. My lifestyle suits the savage I am, and she doesn’t. But Temperance Ransom is my newest addiction, and I’m nowhere near ready to quit her yet.I’ll have her my way, even if it means dragging her into the darkness.Hopefully it doesn’t kill us both.
* * *Savage Prince is book one of the Savage Trilogy, set in the same world as Ruthless King, however you do not need to read the Mount Trilogy to devour this scandalously hot new trilogy.
Holy hell! Meghan March has turned my world completely upside down! If you’ve read any of her books, especially the Mount trilogy, then you know this woman will throw you for a loop. This series sort of spins off of the Mount trilogy and when I realized that I was over the moon. I thought no one could top Mount but oh man was I wrong. Savage Prince gives us mystery, intrigue, and down right raunchy in all the best ways. I was hooked from the start and I just kept wanting more.
“I don’t know anything about him except he’s dangerous. At least, according to Magnolia. But even that doesn’t curb my growing addiction. My rational brain tells me I can’t keep doing this. That tonight has to be the last time. It’s not smart. It’s not safe. But my body disagrees. I have to keep doing this.”
Temperance was an okay character in the Mount series but honestly I thought she was just the naive, loyal sidekick to the main heroine. Meghan proved me wrong and I’m so glad she did. Temperance’s character has so many layers and once you find out where she’s from, what she’s running away from, and why she puts on the “mask” that she does, you’ll be intrigued and, like me, probably find her relatable to some degree. Everyone has a story, a past that their trying to outgrow, and that is exactly what Temperance is doing. But can she honestly run from a past that has made her into the woman she so desperately wants to become but is afraid of being?
Now this is where my review gets tricky…for the sake of staying spoiler free there just isn’t a lot of information to give about the hero, or antihero, of this story. He exudes a confidence that will leave you wanton and
Meghan definitely upped her game with this book, she gave us a scorching hot plot with characters you can’t get enough of and a plot that will leave you wondering and wanting more. Everything about this book was just….more. I can’t wait for the next installment.
