Hey ya’ll. I have an idea so bear with me.
I know, I know…my blog is a book blog and that will never change, but I’ve decided that once or twice a month I’m going to share a little of my background in a category that I like to call When I’m Not Reading. As ya’ll know I’m a military spouse so this life gets crazy hectic and I’d like to keep track of some of the fun, new, and exciting things that I do and/or try in my everyday life.
I have few ideas of what I’d like to post about up my sleeve, but for now I’d just like to introduce to you the person and family (who supports that person) behind Bout-a-Book blog: me.
**waves hi** So, this is my little family. I’ve blogged for years, but this year I’ve really decided to put more effort into making a place for myself in the blog world. I’m an introvert by nature so sometimes I get anxious putting my face and name out there, even just in the book community, but books are a huge passion of mine so my goal is to dedicate more time into creating something that I love.
This category isn’t going to be some extravagant thing, believe me I’m not about that life, haha, but I promise to fill it with nothing but tried and true things that I love, care about, think is crazy, or just something that I find interesting. Look at When I’m Not Reading as a place you go to when you need a friend and a good cup of coffee…that’s what I hope to bring to this section of my blog.
Being a military family is one of the most unique things in the world. We get to look at life from a completely different perspective than some and I am grateful for the life that I have. I’ll admit, it’s hard at times, especially with a little girl who doesn’t know any different. Kaylee, my 7-year-old daughter is full of life and takes things head on, but also has anxiety like her momma so one day, I hope to create a place for her on my blog as well. **look for Kaylee’s books this summer**
So anyway, that’s about it for now. I just wanted to introduce to ya’ll this new category of my blog. I hope ya’ll are as excited as I am. I look forward to sharing my crazy life outside of books. But if you just want to stick with books and book(ish) things for now, then I’m okay with that too.
