Alex Bishop is your typical cowboy.
Charming, sexy, and wears a panty-melting smirk.
Working on the ranch helped build his solid eight-pack and smoking body. He’s every girl’s wet fantasy, and he knows it too. Alex doesn’t follow the rules of your typical playboy bachelor. After wining and dining his dates and giving them the best night of their lives, he always sends flowers and calls the next day—even if it’s to say, let’s just be friends. His mama taught him manners after all, and his Southern blood knows how to be a gentleman. Still, that isn’t enough to tame the wildest of the Bishop brothers.
River Lancaster has finally met the man of her dreams. Too bad after six months of romantic bliss, she finds out he’s married. With a broken heart and blind rage, she books herself a ticket to Key West, Florida. Tired of cheaters and liars, she’s set on escaping to forget he ever existed. Who needs a man when there’s an all-you-can-drink margarita bar, anyway? That’s what she tells herself until she bumps into the right guy who can make all those bad memories disappear.
Even if it’s only temporarily.
Two weeks on the beach is what they both need. No strings attached, no expectations, no broken hearts. Too bad the universe has other plans—one that’ll change the entire course of their lives in just nine short months.
(The Bishop brothers #1)
by Kennedy Fox
I can’t believe it has taken me this long to start on the Bishop brothers by Kennedy Fox! Holy crap I’m hooked! Lyra and Brooke have captured my heart with this family; I love everything about this series…the love, the closeness, and the chemistry between the two main characters was everything I wanted in a book. Kennedy Fox does an amazing job of delivering the perfect story with amazingly well written characters. I couldn’t put this book down.
I don’t need easy. Hell, I want crazy and everything that it entails.”
River and Alex were the perfect couple. They meet on vacation and when things are supposed to be easy, unattached, and brief, they quickly learn that it’s going to be anything but that. River comes from a rocky past that has shaped the person she is today. She loves her job and works hard, but when her personal life takes a turn for the worst she thinks a vacation is just what she needs. Alex works long hours on his family ranch doing nothing but a lot of manual labor so when an offer of fun in the sun comes up from his best friend, Dylan, he can’t resist. Neither River nor Alex really know what fate has in store for them.
River was such an easy likable character. She stubborn about nearly everything, but with good reason. She’s also genuine and has such a beautiful heart. Alex is your typical cowboy playboy, but when he meets River things change instantly. Their chemistry is amazing, but what’s more is that they get each other on a deeper level…there is something between them that both are scared to acknowledge. It’s easy to see that they fit one another perfectly. I really enjoyed these characters together.
The plot itself was awesome. I was intrigued, entertained, and swept off my feet by not only Alex, but every single one of the Bishop brothers. Alex and River’s story is sweet, but with a little naughty of the good variety thrown in. Overall, it was a great read.
