Ruthless King (Mount Trilogy #1) by Meghan March
Release Date: October 17, 2017
Synopsis: Get ready for the darker and dirtier side of New Orleans with a brand new alpha romance from USA Today bestselling author Meghan March.
New Orleans belongs to me.
You don’t know my name, but I control everything you see—and all the things you don’t.
My reach knows no bounds, and my demands are always met.
I didn’t need to loan money to a failing family distillery, but it amuses me to have them in my debt.
To have her in my debt.
She doesn’t know she caught my attention.
She should’ve been more careful.
I’m going to own her. Consume her. Maybe even keep her.
It’s time to collect what I’m owed.
Keira Kilgore, you’re now the property of Lachlan Mount.
*Ruthless King is book 1 of the Mount Trilogy. Mount and Keira’s story is anticipated to be completed in Fall 2017 with Defiant Queen and Sinful Empire.*
Wow! This book had everything I could possibly want in a book plus more! Meghan March truly outdid herself with Lachlan Mount!! I couldn’t put this book down; I had it completely consumed within hours! That’s how amazing this story is! It’s quick, utterly sinful, and full of erotic suspense.
“I own your orgasms. I decide when you come. Not you. Learn it. Live it. Because you’re going to fucking love it by the time I’m done with you.”
The entire storyline captivated me. Keira is trying to keep her family’s business above water despite her ex husband’s stupidity, but just when she thinks she finally has her shit together Lachlan Mount waltzes into her life and takes her world by storm. He’s mysterious, stubborn, and a complete asshole in Keira’s opinion, but something about him calls to something deep inside of her.
Keira is a character I fell in love with instantly. She’s sassy and when push comes to shove, she’ll give as good as she gets. Her fierceness is what drew Lachlan to her in the first place and their chemisty is mind blowing.
“Most men won’t look me in the eye, but this woman isn’t afraid to declare all-out war.”
Lachlan is the ruler of everything in New Orleans…the comings and goings…everything. It’s his city and people know it. Meghan did an amazing job of building this character up in the beginning of the book…and believe me when I say, Lachlan Mount did not disappoint; His reputation preceeds him in all the right and ruthless ways.
“He’s not a ghost. He’s worse. He’s the frigging boogeyman, whispered about in the shadows but never mentioned in polite company, almost as if saying his name will make him appear. And no one wants that.”
Just when you think you have this book figured out and you’re at the part in the story where you think it can only go up hill from here….YOU. ARE. WRONG. Meghan throws in a turn of events and you’re back to square one with your mouth on the floor. Waiting for the next book in going to kill me, but I know with Meghan March it’s completely worth the wait!!!
