Greyson Ratcliffe. I met him at sixteen, the hot new guy sitting on my jetty, an aspiring artist just passing through. He was my first kiss and my first love. I wanted forever with him. I didn’t even get a year.
Five years later, I’m a budding writer who scripts stories of love and struggle, the good and the bad and the ups and the downs. He’s a star on the rise; his wicked talent and crazy good looks have his face plastered on countless magazines. We move in two different worlds and still our paths cross again. We’re older and wiser and as crazy about each other as we had been as teenagers.
My medium is words and my imagination is limitless, but not even I could have written the incredible journey we traveled to our happily-ever-after. Life isn't like fiction, and the greatest love stories don’t follow a script.

I was recently introduced to L.A. Fiore earlier this year and I fell in love hard. Her writing not only pulls you in but it stirs your soul in ways that leave you breathless and aching for more; Our Unscripted Story does all that and more.
“Greyson, from the moment I saw him, has been like that favorite tune you can’t stop humming; he’s a part of me, the very best part.”
Fiore gives you more than just her words on pages, she gives you angst, first love, devastation, and an epic romance all tied up in these characters. This story took me by storm and moved me in ways that I wasn’t prepared for. The plot overall captivated me and kept me enthralled the entire time. Greyson and Alexis’ story is filled with ups and downs and Fiore takes you through it all. I thought the pace was really good; at times I thought that maybe it was just too much background, but honestly, that just helps you connect better with the character’s.
Alexis’ character was one I fell in love with instantly. She had a hard upbringing, but she found family in her own way. I loved how capable she was and how, even when things were tough and downright ugly, she persevered. She worked on herself and kept going when she had to. This isn’t to say readers don’t see the hurt and brokenness that she endures, but with that we see her come out stronger and better. This is a girl I can honestly say I genuinely want to get to know. The first few chapters was in Alexis’ POV and it helped to really understand her background, but we also get Greyson’s POV throughout the book as well.
Greyson just moved from Ireland to the small town where Alexis lives. Upon first meeting the instant attraction is there. It seems as if they’re pulled towards each other. I loved watching their young love reveal itself in its own way. Greyson is a genuine character who has his own set of hardships, and overall his character is one I find myself gravitating towards. Everything about him screams perfection for Alexis, and I loved how he fell in love with her quirks and never faulted her for them.
“”All you have to do is close the distance, Alexis, and I’ll put us both out of our misery.”
I’m dreaming.“You’re not dreaming”
“How do you know I’m thinking that?”
“You said that out loud.”
These characters and this storyline were amazing! Fiore took us on their epic relationship from beginning to end. We saw both characters develop from teenagers to adults thriving in their own perspective worlds. We got to seem Greyson and Alexis come together over and over during the course of their lifetime, and it amazed me how they always seemed to find their way back to one another.
Their love story is definitely one you won’t forget. When I think of true ever lasting love I will always think of Alexis and Greyson.
