I have loved the Badd brothers ever since I first got my grabby hands on Badd Motherf*cker and I can’t help but devour each book every single time. Jasinda brings you this close, dirty-talking, down-to-earth, whiskey loving family and you get sucked into their world from the start. I can’t quite figure out which Badd brother I love more because they all are amazing and sexy as f*ck in their own right. Bax is definitely no different in Good Girl Gone Badd. I couldn’t get enough of his dirty mouth and gentle spirit-hearted spirit; at times it was just too much for my poor little heart too take!!!
“You know you’re not leaving until you’ve gotten the full Baxter Badd experience.”
Jasinda went all out on the dirty talk in this installment and I loved every bit of it. If you’ve read the previous novels then you know Bax used to play football and he was dang good at it, but now that he’s moved back home he uses his strength towards illegal MMA fighting and, whatdoyaknow…he’s good at that too. He’s the freakin’ epitome of hotness on every single physical level. He has this persona of a meathead, but honestly there is so much more to Bax than that, and I’m glad we see that play out.
Eva is the exact opposite of Bax. She’s high class, elite, and very prim and proper. She comes from a family who has raised her to be a potential trophy wife. So, conservative outward appearances mean everything. Bax intrigues her and instantly sets her soul on fire. He represents everything she can’t be or has either had to hide away deep inside herself. Bax is exactly what she fears and exactly what she needs to break free of the life that has been pushed down her throat since the day she was born.
“It’s perfect. The way you’ve sullied me is perfect. It’s what I’ve wanted my whole life. You make me feel–I don’t know. Maybe this will sound stupid, but…you make me feel…powerful.”
Together these two have enough chemistry to set the entire freakin’ country on fire. I can’t describe it any other way, except they fit. They make each other whole in the physical and emotional sense. Bax is this big, beefed up MMA fighter, but with Eva he has such a gentle spirit. He takes his time…let’s her do her own thing. I loved wathching him with her; I definitely swooned on more than a few occasions. Seeing Eva open up and figure herself out and allow herself to be whoever and whatever she wants was an exhilerating ride.
Jasinda pulled me in hard with this read. We not only got to really meet these characters and watch them come together, but we get glimpses into the lives of the other brothers and couples too. This family is amazing and being able to connect with them, even for just a moment is an awesome thing. I’m alraedy feigning at the bit for the next Badd brother. Jasinda…I need him like…yesterday!
If you liked the previous novels or dirty-talking men with “I don’t give a f*ck” attitudes then you’ll fall head over heels in love with Baxter Badd and I promise…you won’t regret it.
