There’s pretty much only one rule when you’re a guy.
Don’t be a douche.
Turns out, the fastest way to break that rule is to fall for your best friend’s sister.
Ava’s brilliant, sharp-tongued, gorgeous, and five years younger than me.
She’s the sexual equivalent of running with scissors. In a word, she’s dangerous. And completely off-limits.
Falling for her could ruin everything.
Yet I can’t seem to stop, even when her company is threatened by a lawsuit, and my promotion hinges on representing the opposing client—and winning.
I can’t see a way out of this mess that doesn’t end in a broken friendship, a broken heart, or a ruined career.
I may have broken the bro code when I fell for Ava. But do I have the balls to handle what comes next?
Bro Code is yet another amazing read by Kendall Ryan! It was the perfect mix of sweet and sexy and kept me entertained and swooning from start to finish.
“Falling for her could ruin everything. Yet I can’t seem to stop.”
Barrett is completely swoon worthy. He tries to be the good guy and falling in love with his best friend’s sister definitely isn’t the good guy thing to do….falling for Ava breaks the guy code completely; Barrett knows this but the chemistry is just too great to ignore. He is stuck between doing what’s right by his best friend or giving into the intense feelings that’s brewing between him and Ava. I loved the progression of their relationship. It was believable and so sweet (and spicy) to witness.
Ava is someone I aspire to be. She’s sweet, sassy, and full of determination. I loved this character so much and she’s was easily relatable. She has just as big a crush on Barrett as he does her. I loved the back-and-forth between the characters; it was the perfect amount of forbidden chemistry and sexual attraction.
The overall pace was amazingly executed and everything flowed really well, but I’ve come to expect that from a Kendall Ryan book. If you’ve read any of her previous books then this one will not disappoint. It was a great “all in one day” read for me. I will always pick up a KR book…she’s just that good of a storyteller !
