I requested this book as an ARC and was approved. I have never read Sandra Chastain before and upon some research I see that she has written quite a few other novels; even some in the Mac’s Angels series.
When I first started reading SINNER AND SAINT it drew me in immediately. Karen Miller flat out refuses to wake up from a coma but can’t help be drawn to the sexy, rough around the edges doctor. Yep, it got me from page one! As the story progressed it kept my attention and I was genuinely interested in what was going to happen to Karen and Dr. Sandor. What kept throwing me off is the time line. Everything, and I mean everything, seemed to happen so fast. Karen kept mentioning it during the book but it still was sort of difficult to wrap my head around at times. I wish Ms. Chastain would have slowed it down some.
I don’t want to spoil this book for you so I won’t point out which parts I felt needed to be slowed down but it was only a few, and it definitely wasn’t enough to make me quit reading! Like, I said…the book has a great story line and the characters were well developed. I could see in my mind what Karen and Nikolai looked like and Ms. Chastain left no details out. If you’re looking for a quick, drama-filled, fairytale ending read then Mac’s Angels: SINNER AND SAINT is definitely for you.
I give this book 3 out of 5 stars.
Until next time,
laugh much & read often.
